Frank grew
up in Blue Ridge, GA, in the North Georgia mountains.
After graduating from high school and spending two years in the U.S.
Navy, he attended the University of Georgia and earned a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After graduating from college, he
entered the commercial art field where he worked for thirty-seven
years.
Frank's work in the fine art field was
primarily in the watercolor medium until about eight years ago when,
with the inspiration of some outstanding teachers, his interest in
the oil medium was rekindled. Since that time he has worked in oils,
and watercolor with a series of paintings of flowers in watercolor.
A love of nature is reflected in Frank's
paintings. The excitement of a sunrise and the tranquility of a
sunset are great inspirations to him. These are the magic times of
day with their beautiful colors and values.
Frank lives and works at his home studio in
Thomaston, GA, with his wife, Barbara. They have three married
children and six grandchildren. |
