I grew up in Blue
Ridge,GA, in the North Georgia mountains. After graduating from high
school and spending two years in the U. S. Navy, I attended the
University of Georgia and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
After graduating from college, I entered the commercial art field
where I worked for thirty-seven years.
I enjoy working in three mediums--oils, watercolors and pastels--doing landscapes, flowers and still-life
paintings. My inspiration comes from the beauty displayed in God's creation of a
beautiful sunset, flower or landscape.
I also teach watercolor workshops in Thomaston and have had
several one-man shows at Callaway Gardens and in Thomaston.
I work in my home studio in Thomaston, GA. My wife, Barbara,
and I have three married children and seven grandchildren. We are
members of the First Baptist Church in Thomaston where we are active
in the music and counseling ministries.
